Notice regarding Royal Mail delays - January 2023

Royal Mail Delays & Strike Action

Please note that as well as the usual postal delays at Christmas, Royal Mail have announced further strike action which will undoubtedly cause significant delays to deliveries leading up to (and beyond) Christmas. We do our best to ship orders as quickly as possible, but once posted these delays are beyond our control so we do ask customers to be patient whilst waiting for their order to arrive.

For the latest updates including additional strike dates, please visit the Royal Mail News page.

During these periods, post is neither processed or delivered, and the already significant backlog will grow even larger. Even premium services like Tracked 24 have suffered delays. If you have a tracking number, please do check the link for updates as there will be little additional information we can provide.

Please note as per Royal Mail's updated advisory, items posted after the 16th December are unlikely to arrive before Christmas.  Due to the excessive backlogs, it also unlikely that many items posted before this cut-off date will also not arrive before Christmas.

We know how disappointing and frustrating delays like this can be - but please know that we will do what we can to make sure you are sorted out in the end - either with a replacement package or refund.  For items posted before Christmas, there is little point in re-sending orders as they will only add to the backlog and aren't likely to be delivered any quicker than the first attempt - so in these cases we may ask you to wait longer than normal for your order to arrive.

We wholeheartedly apologise for any delays this may cause with your deliveries, and appreciate your patience in waiting a little longer for your order to arrive.

    Options for faster delivery

If your order is more urgent, we may be able to use alternative services to get your order delivered more quickly.

UK: Royal Mail's Special Delivery service is still their #1 priority and so has the best chance of being delivered with only a slight delay.  Normally this service is guaranteed next-day delivery, but during strike days this guarantee is suspended - but items posted with this service should still get through quickly after dispatch.  If you want us to send your order with Special Delivery, please select this option during checkout.

International: Unfortunately there are no postal options that will guarantee a faster delivery time so our only option is to use FedEx Express - which has been extremely fast (next working day in some cases) but unfortunately is extremely expensive - prices are usually £35-45.  Please get in touch if you would like to upgrade your delivery to this service.  IMPORTANT: FedEx delivery times ARE NOT guaranteed.
